Hello Steve,

Good Afternoon,
I am interested to learn about pricing options on KAYU-Aku to be used as sofit. the size 1 X 4 T & G
V Back and 1 X 6 T&G V Back are of particular interest. Can you provide pricing for approx 600sqft?
what is the BF price where do you have price breaks, how is shipping handled? I might have a project in the Milwaukee WI area coming up.

Hello, I have recently seen this product and am interested in learning of the availability and pricing. I build 2-3 outdoor living structures a season (privately) and would definitely be interested in having this as an option, including a small 400 sq ft in August.
Please advise whom I could contact for this pricing. I would also be interested in learning if you carry accessories such as lighting, post covers, etc. Thanks!
Chris
Thanks for sharing! Tongue and groove floor are fairly simple to install. They are typically made of oak, but they come in many different types of hardwood.
I am considering using treated plywood, with roofing tar paper on top to help me channel excess water away from decking area. Another reason for this is that the area has previously been a favorite den local of area ground squirrels ani really want to keep them away. I am installing a drainage systems to remove the excess water also. The location only gets direct sunlight during the early part of the day and is otherwise protected from adverse weather. The treated plywood will also create a very solid deck platform and makes it easier to create proper slope to drainage system. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
Customer is looking for a “Camo” style tool & fasteners for the 5/4 x 4″ wide Batu board. What is the best system to use? Thanks,
We have had a lot of positive feedback from customers using the Camo system. We also recommend the Kreg Jig which is a similar hidden fastening system. Either option should work well for installing our Batu.
how long does it take for a kayu tree to grow to harvestable size?
i would like to build a deck 24×16, what would be the most affordable material that you would recommend
Thank you
Dragan
Dragan,
I would recommend KAYU Batu shorts. They are the same top quality as our random and even length Batu, but average about 35% less expensive. Another option you might also consider is our KAYU Siap, pre-finished Red Meranti. Please contact us if you need help locating a KAYU distributor in your area. Thank you.
Looking for pre-finished T&G siding for a new project. I am also looking for 1×4 or 1×6 T&G for the sofit and 1×6 for or 1×8 for the fascia board.
Still in design phase but would require approximately
2600 sq ft of siding will need 1×6 and 1×4 for trim
1600 linear feet of 1×6 overlap groove for sofit
400 liner feet of 1×6 for fascia
number are approximate
The project is located approximately 100 miles north west of Toronto in the Collingwood area.
Thanks
Michael

Muy buenos consejos para trabajar…
¿Como puedo hacer un pedido de madera para fabricar un deck en El Salvador?
¿en cuanto tiempo estaré recibiendo el pedido?
Need a price for TWO trailer decks 8′ x 20′
1 1/8″ x 7″ x 20′ preferred.
What screws do you recommend?
Do you recommend ship lab for equipment trailers exposed to weather year round?
What seals or treat do you recommend?
I have stock of keruing …
I’ve been told by a reseller that the Batu isn’t class a rated. Please confirm which is true, your article that says it is class a rated or the local rep here in colorado

Yes, our KAYU®-Batu™ is a carefully selected Red Balau hardwood species that we have imported from Indonesia and is Class “A” Flame Spread Rating (same as Concrete and Steel. I personally had my pool deck built from KAYU®-Batu™ and find it to be low maintenance, even after a decade of heavy use. I still enjoy the warm beauty that my deck provides all year round and if I was to build another deck for myself, it would be from the KAYU®-Batu™ species. This species is truly a proven performer for past decades in the most demanding applications. The owner of Kayu has personally purchased KAYU®-Batu™ for more than 30 years and confirms that it is one of the Finest Exotic Hardwoods on the market.
